General Adoption Info:
*We Require ALL potential adopters to fill out an adoption application. (Info about your home, family, other animals, etc...)
*Adopters MUST bring in a VALID drivers license or a VALID State ID. We Do adopt certain animals to out-of-state adopters, but you must have one of these forms of ID.
*All adopters must be at least 21 years of age.
*If you rent/lease your home/apt., we require verification from your landlord that you are allowed to have the animal you are interested in at your residence.
*All potential adopters MUST submit to a thorough background check.
*Please bring in all members of your household when coming to adopt; this ensures that everyone in the house is a good match for the pet you are interested in.
*If you're looking to adopt a "bully-breed", please take note that if you live in certain cities/towns, you must bring in proof of your homeowners insurance policy.
- many areas require you hold AT LEAST a $500,000 insurance policy on your home to adopt certain breeds.
(these breeds include Pit-Bull and PB Mix dogs,
Rottweiler, Doberman, German Shepherd, Akita...)
